Is this new - Ads carried over to new search?

Hi,

I just noticed something which may be new.

I searched for my top 2 word term to see where we are in organic results. Then searched for a very general 3 word term. In fact this was "UK Tax Rates" (I hope the mods leave this in as it is totally generic) and in the Adwords ads there were still ads for our 2 word term along with a couple of tax site ads.

I've not noticed this before, is it new?

Not exactly new, Google has been testing this for a while. I have past coverage of this at [searchengineland.com...]
