no change in competition or ad placement and my ctr was down by 3% for the whole day

Yesterday's CTR was same for two different sites in different industries. Sunday can be different to other days, have you checked that?

No. There was no substantial change compared to average of the last 7 days. As it could depend on the industry (B2B is low on sundays) I mentioned the two different sites.
