The landing pages in my AdWords campaign do not have any links in from the rest of the site (but the landing pages do link out to the rest of the site). Is it possible that creating links in to the landing pages help the quality score?

Anything is possible with Google, but I'd say it's really based on the content on that specific page.

If the landing page contains good amount of relevant content and gets good landing page quality score, having inbound and outbound links will not matter.

There are many websites which have just one page as their adwords landing page but still get high landing page quality score.

Here's a link to quite a bit of information on the subject of landing pages and Landing Page Quality:

* Landing Page Quality
[adwords.google.com...]

(Note sure why, but I was unable to post the link w/o the s in https - which would have made it clickable - so you'll have to copy/paste it into your brower. Sorry about that.)
