How to Improve my CTR?

its my first time using AdWords, and i see the CTR is below 1 percent...

is that normal, or im doing someting wrong?

- do you use search, content, or both
- what page your ad appears on
- what position on that page your ad is on
- how your ad text compares to of your competitors
- do you use exact, phrase, broad match, or all
