I've only been experimenting with AdWords for a couple days now and luckily enough, I made my first sale yesterday. I'm a little concerned though because the impressions of the Ad Group that I made a sale in is heavily advertised in the content network. It's about 98% content network and 2% search network. Should I be concerned? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks everyone!

Congrats!

Not at all. A sale is a sale, no? Many advertisers find success solely on the search network, others find success solely on the content network - and others find success on both.

The more important questions are - how was your ROI? And - is this a campaign that you can scale?

thanks poster boy! a sale is definitely a sale. i've set up several campaigns and the only sales i've made so far were all in the same type of product/service so i would say it's something i can scale. the hardest part now is keeping my keywords from all becoming inactive. does having ad variations help keep your keywords from becoming inactive?

i never see any content ads and i've had up to 30k keywords loaded at one point. Of course i don't bid much on the content network but i thought .05 would fill some traffic ;)
