Ever been charged for more than your max cpc?

Happened today...

Basically my bid hadn't changed in the last month, but today I've received a handful of clicks that cost me roughly 10x my max cpc.

ie in my ad group it shows my bid as y, and my costs per click as roughly 10 times y

Obviously it is a glitch, just wondering if this is a new glitch that others may also have happen recently?

(yep, I will be phoning them)

It's certainly worth an immediate inquiry, but I've seen anomalies in intra-day reporting that are almost always resolved by the time the reporting reconciles the following day.

Man this is a weird one. Google are looking into it. The cost higher than max cpc happened again yesterday, so I paused the keyword.

Just now it had a click costing $6.46, and it was paused 6 hours ago!

Just had this happen in the site targeting network. We changed a bid but it kept charging at the old bid. Google is aware of this "bug" and is working to fix it (they thought it was already fixed) Just keep an eye on bids you lower to make sure the system is making the change on the back end because Google will show the new bid but your average CPC or reports will tell you if your change "took" or not.

Have been informed that our problem is fixed. No mention of what was wrong or if they have fixed it so that it cannot happen to others.

The compensation offered is a little short, so we'll need to argue for more (if it's worth our time and effort)
