Campaigns VS Ad Groups

I am trying to decide the most effective way to expand my Adwords advertising...whether it is through a new campaign or adding an adgroup to my current campaign.

My product is customizable to multiple industries, but our efforts have focused on industry1 only.
My campaign includes top performing keywords such as industry1+KW1, KW1+KW2 and KW1+KW2+KW3. I want to add industry2 to my Adwords marketing. This new adgroup or campaign would include keywords industry2+KW1, KW1+KW2 and KW1+KW2+KW3. As you can see, some of the KW's are repeated. All CT's would connect to an industry specific landing page within the same website.

Will Google handle this differently if this is set up as a new campaign or as an adgroup to an existing campaign.

I believe that Google will alternate my advertising if there are identical KWs within the same campaign. What about different campaigns which land in different places on the same site?

All insights are greatly appreciated!

I would recommend setting up a separate campaign for each industry. Advantages of having separate campaigns -

- Eventhough the keywords are the same, the conversion rate might be different since you are using different destination URLs. It would be easier to manage your account (increasing/decreasing bids, for example) if you have separate campaigns.

- You can set a different daily budget for each of the industries.

Google would still NOT show both the ads together.

I wanted to add a couple of thoughts, in addition to those already posted. This is perhaps an over-simplification, but in the overview, I think of it this way:

Different campaigns allow you to make rather major decisions about groups of ads, including:

* Setting a Daily Budget commensurate with importance of a product or service to your bottom line
* Setting an End date (which is useful for seasonal ads or limited promotions, for example)
* Setting Language and Country Targeting (i.e. where, literally, in the world do you want the ads to appear?)
* Whether or not you want the ads to appear on partner networks - one, both, or none?

Different Ad Groups, for their part, are your chance to create really targeted ads for each of your products and/or services. Using Ad Groups, you can advertiser each thing (or type of thing) that you have on offer, separately. This will help you to pull in pre-qualified customers, IMO.
