Does Google Screen your own ads from showing for you?

I am having an issue with seeing my own ads on anything thats semi competitive. Google adwords says my average position is 2 but when I search my own computer it does not appear. If I search a computer next door it appears no problem.

Is this because google screens ads from showing to people who log into the adwords account where the ads reside?

What they do is to lower the ranking of ads you see often but don't click on. So if you're checking your own ad several times a day but not clicking on it, Google will assume you're not interested in it and it will give other ads a chance to be displayed.

What you should use to check your ads is the Ad Preview Tool at [google.com...] ... That way you won't inflate your impression count, either.
