Keyword Order

I am current running a fairly successful AdWords campaign. After looking at my keyword log I find I may have been missing a trick?

When bidding on a keyword such as:

best widget order

is this the same as

order best widget?

Within my AdWords campaign I am bidding on all matching types for 'best widget order', my question is, should I be bidding on the same keywords in a different order, is there any benefit in doing this?

I don't know if you should include broad match key phrases, but i do change the order of key words around if they are in phrase match and exact. I honestly can't tell you if that's making a difference but it does make sense to me.

You'll definitely want to ensure that they're in the proper order if you're using dynamic insertion. I've had multiple instances in the past where Google has displayed the title of my ad as "word2 word1 word3" because I was lazy in importing keywords. ;) They're going to match on your misproper word order as the keyword you're buying for dynamic insertion even if the user types it correctly.

Otherwise, "word2 word1 word3" == "word1 word2 word3".

Definitely try different word orders if you're using phrase or exact match settings.

If the words are set to broad match, the order does not matter.

Even on broad match I've found that it isn't necessarily always that *broad* - definitely try to include as many variations of word order as you can to cover all possibilities (being careful with keyword insertion)
