Adwords impression not coming

I have created an adwords campaign on <a specific theme>, a month ago. I am geo targeting my campaign to USA & Canada only. In spite of using quite generic keywords, with quality score OK to Great, I am not getting the desired impressions. On an avg I am getting only 110-150 impression daily.
In Campaign Setting section I have selected the "Show Ads as Quickly as Possible". I have increased the daily budget to $1000.
I have managed some 50-60 campaigns so far. But for the very first time I am not able to fix a problem.
Pl help me.

Have you got the keywords on exact match, or broad? I've found with some campaigns that putting keywords on exact can severely limit impressions, even when the exact terms are being searched upon.

Are your keywords in high positions, on the first/second page etc?

Thanks Zuckerman,
I have added all the three combination (ie. Broad, Exact & Phrase).
My ads are showing on the first page (Avg. Position 5-6)
I have even contacted Google people, but they are also providing generic solutions.

Any more suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Hello Imrankhan - since we are not able to be specific about keywords here, there is no way to confirm that what I am about to say is actually the 'issue' at work in your account.

However, a given set of keywords, ultimately, is capable of delivering 'x' amount of traffic. If the traffic you are receiving is not what you were hoping for, it is at least possible that your current keywords are delivering all the traffic that they are capable of delivering. If this is the case, then increasing the daily budget will not increase traffic since there are no more available impressions.

The solution, if this is the case, would be to add additional keywords to your ad group. I am not suggesting that you add keywords at random, just to pump up the volume of impressions, however. It's far better to use targeted keywords that are highly related to the subject of the ad - and which represent the way your potential customers would search for what you offer.

Hi ImranKhan,

Your keywords look fairly good. Are all of your ads approved? What's your click through rate like? (just trying to think of reasons why your impressions are low).

Thanks Zuckerman,
My CTR is around 0.3-0.4%, since I am having limited budget, so I can only target lower positions.
Secondly ALL my ads are approved (Generally 2 adcopies per adgroup)

Well, you said your keywords are very expensive and competitive, and your budget is small.

Is adwords "going easy" on showing your ads so that you don't blow through your budget?

My daily budget is $100. Since impressions are not coming, so I only manage to get 3-4 clicks & most of my budget remains un-utilized.

One more thing I would like to share. Yesterday I set up the same campaign in Yahoo, with the same keywords & adcopies. I managed to get 5 time the impression & clicks than adwords.

What should I do in Adwords to increase the impressions.

Thanks in advance.

1. Are you displaying your ads on Content Network also?
2. What does the Budget Estimator say?
3. How low are your positions?
4. Anyway, try to increase your daily budget substantially (x10) and see what happens.

One last thing to check - use Google's keyword tool under the "Tools" tab. Check to make sure that people are actually searching for your terms.

If they are, and you still aren't getting impressions, increase your budget.

Also run the ads diagnotics tool to see why your ads might not be showing.
