I have spent lots of money on Google adwords, for the last 4 years.
My earnings profit has been less an less every year.
So I was looking at some of these programs that say they will
get you sponsored listings in google, yahoo and others, for
one monthly price. Has anyone had luck with any of these programs.
If so can you recommend which ones actually work..

Next Question,

Now say you type in any keyword, I used - home security- and then
I hit "more sponsored links" at the bottom right hand side.

Then I scrolled over all the results.
Then I looked at the bottom of my computer(the space that tells you where you are going if you click on that link)

now most of the urls start with

google.com/pagead (I know these are the regular adwords that we pay for)

but a few start with

google.com/url?sa ( I am wondering where these ads come from)
(maybe one of these companies that list your PPC ads for you)

Anybody know.

Clicks cost the same, no matter who is paying for them. I don't see how they can get you any more clicks per dollar than you can...CTR might be improved, but I don't see anything that they can do, which you cannot. Besides, paying a flat rate sounds like a terrible idea - what kind of reporting do they offer? What sort of guarantees?

As for the funny destination urls.....Google doesn't want you to know where you're going, otherwise you'd just type the url in there yourself. They want the money for the click, and want to make sure the advertiser pays Google if they provide a lead. Once you click on that link, the url shown in the bar isn't what was just displayed when you roll the cursor over the ad.

they will get you sponsored listings in ... for one monthly price.

Read the fine print, but most likely they mean that they will setup and manage your account(s) for one monthly low price- you still have to pay for same price for the clicks.

Judy Want to make more on less?

Don't go after the most searched terms cut them off and buy hundreds of less searched that will bring in higher quality traffic on less money increase the ROI and put more money in the pocket.

Sure you might get less traffic but who needs traffic if it isn't buying.

Quit the cycle...

Traffic that cost you to get it isn't traffic it is overhead ....Treat it as such...

I agree. I find that the more money i spend on general keywords, the more money i waste. I've opted out of competing for some of the most general keywords in my niche in lieu of key phrases that are searched far less. My impressions has dropped, but so have my costs and my average cpc, because my CTR is higher and that figures into Quality Score.

If you want to hire someone to re-vamp your adwords account to become more targeted, then you'll probably do better. I would actually shy away from management companies. I just don't know how much faith i have in the customer service aspect. They're spending your money and it is always good to have a bead on that at all times. They may not take the time to understand your niche, and you're losing money in the process.

I would suggest finding someone to do some freelance work for you in the paid search arena. I believe there is a forum here where you can actually post your needs. Your campaign may be good for someone who is looking to build a resume.

Ever thought of the bad boys scenario? Who tells me that the following is not happening:

--- Part 1 ---

1. A bicycle factory buys the word Bicycle for $ 0,10

2. After appearing to be a successfull searchword a little piece of software (not someone else, not a competiting bicycle factory, but Google itself!) doubles the price for the word Bicycle to $ 0,20

3. The Bicycle factory reactivates the word.

While not ran out of budget: double the price again: wend!

--- Part 2 ---

1. Do we just trust that the clicks per word are counted fairly?

2. Isn't a competitor entering your expensive searchword and clicking on it to destroy your advertising budget? Suppose your competitor organizes meetings with free beer for every student that does this for you at home? Is it possible to write a little program (a silent virus would be very effective) that does this?

--- Plot ---

What happens if you dare to challenge Google for this in public? It is the core of their income and Google has become one of the most powerfull companies of the world.
