Standard or Accelerated Ad delivery.

Which one to use?

I have a question about ad delivery methods. I understand that there are 2 methods that can be used.

Standard Delivery is what we currently use. I often question the way the ads are being delivered in comparison to the impressions that it receives. Our cost is always lower than what the daily budget is set for. Would I be correct that the ad is being served at all times then?

If that is the case, is there any benefit to using the accelerated option? I only ask because I would use the accelerated delivery option if it would be of benefit for my situation. Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have read [adwords.google.com...] and I am still a little unsure.

If budget is no issue (ie, targeted keywords that convert and an effectively unlimited marketing budget), I'd use accelerated every time. Else AdWords spreads your spend out across the day, which means you can miss out on peaks of traffic (if, say, a product gets a mention on TV).

So it is your opinion that even if your ad budget is more than enough to cover a day of expense that using accelerated ad delivery would result in more visibility than standard?

If your actual spend is always significantly lower than your daily budget , it doesn't matter which option you choose. Your ad would show always.

What would be considered significantly lower?

I don't think you're ever going to really know until you try it for a day. If your budget is set to something you can live with actually hitting for a day or two, turn on accelerated and keep checking to see how long it takes to run out of budget. Me, I've never tried it, because I figured it would just be a way to burn up money fast, but I could be wrong (cause I never tried it)

I guess your right. I have placed it to accelerated on a campaign and will let it run for the day. I will let you know if its worth it.
