Maybe someone of You have found a way out of this?
I mean remove all found duplicates quickly...
What I want... For all duplicate keywords in account, delete the ones with the least activity. (e.g. keep the ones that have been getting clicks/impressions)
A "find empty adgroups" would probably be useful as well.
I'm running very, very large campaigns. Over the course of a year, I can accumulate a lot of dups, some of which are impossible to delete through search filtering.
As far as removing keywords, I do google searches on those keywords to see which ads turn up. Then i locate that keyword within the ad group and either move it to a more relevant one, or delete it. I do this gradually because the task of manually removing all duplicate keywords in one sitting is a daunting one, and too time consuming to justify.
It would be nice if, during a campaigns-wide search, there was a delete icon next to the keyword and you could delete it from the list right there. You could check all the keywords you want deleted, then do it all in one fell swoop.
I thought maybe G. didn't put that feature on purpose so people would be more careful and made smaller accounts, cause otherwise these accounts become "unmanagable"...
Dups occur for a lot of reasons. Many times for me it is a bug in my API application... I've thought about writing my own de-dupper with the Adwords API, but it would be a lot nicer if Google just included it in the editor.
How does it take 5 seconds to delete each keyword for exact duplicates in AWE?Do a search for the exact keyword you are looking for, highlight ALL of them and hit delete. It takes five seconds for thousands of keywords..I have enormous campaigns, as well.
Your example implies either you are willing to delete all occurrences and lose any performance history or that you have many duplicates of the same key phrase. What about 10k duplicate pairs spread across multiple adgroups and campaigns in a 1 million+ keyword account?

Yeah.. it seems like You're deleting all the keywords... AE find and shows both the original and a duplicate next to each other...
I wonder how come Google didn't think about it whne they were writing the new release for the Editor... it seems so obvious... why would I want just to see the duplicates without ability to easily delete them. that one. Second, why it shows both the original and duplicate together without the ability to see only duplicates and remove them easily...
this seems like the biggest lack in EA now for me... nothing annoys more that this...
well maybe except the ability to make duplicate ads in each adgroup with one click... cause sometimes I have many adgroups with one ad in each and I need to make another one for split testing... so I have to go to each adgroup and make a copy of the existing ad with the exact URL there... If only I could select 50 adgroups and automatically make duplicates, that would ease the life...
AWE by default displays the duplicate keywords together but if you have a well structured account, you can sort the duplicates by campaign or adgroup.
For example, if you have 150,000 dupes in Campaign B vs. Campaign A's originals, sort the current view by Campaign and mass delete all the Campaign B duplicate keywords.
Similarly, if you have to drill down to dupes within Campaign B, sort by adgroup name and delete the adgroup dupes.
Also, you can sort duplicate keywords by performance? Just switch on the show stats function and sort by impressions. You could then further filter the result set with impressions = 0 or under a specified number.
