Change in Keyword Tool?

Keyword tool also show keywords already listed in campaign.

I noticed a change in the keyword tool functionality.

I have Campaign 1 containing "Ad Group A" and "Ad Group B".

When I access the keyword tool from within "Ad Group A" and start to search for new keywords the keyword tool now also shows keywords that are already listed in "Ad Group B".

Normally the keyword tool would tell that a keyword is already listed/active in the campaign. However, now it only shows:

- Active
- Not active
- Already listed in Ad Group A

But this used to be:

- Active
- Not active
- Already listed in "Ad Group A"
- Already listed in "Campaign 1"

Anyone else noticed this change?

Missing the "already listed in campaign" functionality is making the keyword tool useless (duplicated keywords in different ad groups).

Yes, I have noticed this too. I liked the way it used to work, although some of the new features are nice. But having the ability to see what terms are already in the adgroup, campaign (and even in the whole account) is SO valuable when building/expanding ad groups. I'm suprised this funtion went away!

I have also noticed, when you try to add a keyword that is already in the ad group, it stays in the "Keyword Tool" the next time you use it. So if you aren't paying attention, you end up adding it to the next ad group you are working in. Looks like a bug to me, but who knows :)

I will contact Google about this issue. Perhaps they don't know that they broke this option during the last update.

The Dutch Adwords support forwarded this issue to the technical team. I hope that this issue is a bug and not a future.

I received a reply from the Dutch Adwords support team. They told me that it is a 'feature' and not a bug :(

However, they forwarded this problem as an improvement suggestion to a specific department. So with a little bit of luck it will work again within 5 months or so :(

Looks like they forgot to implement this in the new version.
