For my Keyword "blue widget" I have a position preference set to 3-10+. I don't want Position 1 or 2 as they don't convert well for that keyword.
"blue widget" keyword is set to broad match. "blue widget" at broad match will receive 300-500 daily impressions.
My ad for "blue widget" has a CTR of 15% - 25% which is great! BUT my ad ALWAYS shows for position 1 or 2 with Position 3-10+ turned on (over 2 weeks turned on) for that keyword ("blue widget").
I tried lowering the bid amount by half and still I'm stuck in position 1 or 2. I don't want to continue lowering the bid price to try do what Adwords Positioning Tool should be doing for me?
My goal is to get my ad to position 3 or 4 and leave it alone.
This is a little frustrating to say the least... Has anyone experienced this before?
