Content or searchbased. Separate them?

Do I have to make different ad groups for content or search?

Hi there,

I'm setting up a campaign and I wonder if it's a good idea to make a different campaign for contentsites (adsense) and for search?

What would you do?

Thanks,
Marco

Yes, it is working better most of the times to have separate campaigns, especially if you have a small number of campaigns.

Thank you mike, so I make a new campaign, not an adgroup?

Is it a good idea to use the same adgroups in both campaigns?

Thanks,
Marco

You have to create a new campaign - since only at this level you are able to select "Content only".
You can use the same adgroups - but is essential that they have a "theme". Content is not so transparent like Search regarding how your ads are displayed.

I'd also suggest limiting the number of keywords in your content adgroups to 7-10 keywords, rather than just duplicating your search terms
