Secret QS Update

People reporting new slappage

People are reporting that their sites are being slapped again with $10 bids. I did not get slapped, but my site did drop from an average of 5th place to 10th place.

Is anyone else experiencing radical changes since the beginning of Septemeber?

Why would Google do a QS update without telling us and why so soon after the June update?

I thought it was going to be an every 6 month or so thing.. Perhaps the newest QS update was meant to coincide with the latest top placement formula update..

It's strange because right after the top placement formula changes went into effect, my site did extremely well.. Now it is doing worse than before the TPF went into effect..

Something changed, because I had a bunch of keywords on a relatively new campaign go inactive due to "poor" QS last week; I just left them inactive and now they're back to "ok" and "great" today.

I think it is tweaking of the change made earlier as some stuff is better and some is worse.

My CTR is now astronomically high, the bids are lower with some as low as 2 cents, but I've dropped way down ranking and overall traffic is lower and converts poorly..

My top performing keywords have been rearranged as well..My #1 keyword is now my #10 keyword and others which did not receive much traffic are now getting a lot..

wow....my conversion rate is about 6.5%, cost per conversion is the lowest in almost two years....all while keeping the number of conversions right where they should be.

not to brag or anything, but whatever google changed actually works for some people....so who's gonna do the study to see if it was good overall...?
