Ad showing up for the keywords that are not present in the campaign

Is the Google API changed?

I have observed in one of the Search query report for one of my account, the ad is displaying for the shortcuts, synonynms, mispells and so on. Also if my keyword is 'franchise opportunities', the ad is diplaying for 'franchise'. Also, my ads are displying for the search term 'costal vacations'. Why is this happening? Why should my ad display for a keyword that is not at all present in my campaign? What is the necessity of PPC, if everything Google assumes and displays the ads for all?

Have anyone experienced this problem? Can anyone explain what this search query performacne report also once in detail.

we have had similar issues but not to the extent you are experiencing - we can mainly put our issues down to expanded broad match, see:

Thank you. Received useful input from you. But how can we solve this problem. If this problem persists, what is the need of doing PPC for a website. How to bid for the keywords and whcih keywords do we need to bid. If this is the case, then the number of negative keywords will be far more times bigger than the number of keywords in an adgroup :)

Who will opt PPC for adverising means? Why Google is doing like this?
