Will pausing the campaign affect the previous history?

Taking time to pick up the performance after reactivating them

For one of our accounts, we have paused for one week and again reactivated the same. But it has taken nearly 1 week to pick up the previous performance. Have anyone faced this issue so far. Can't we restore the performance immediately after activation?

Pausing the campaign will not affect the campaign history badly but you cannot expect Google to give you the same performance as soon as you resume it.

I have similar experiences and the campaign will take 1-2 days to get back the original performance.
