AdWords Account Canceled Bug?

I logged into my account today to find the red box notifying me that the account was canceled, couldn't be reactivated, and to contact them if I have questions about the account. Also, I can't make any edits 'while' it is canceled. That infers there could be an end to the cancellation.
It is a small account, between $100 and $300/mo. To my knowledge, I've done nothing wrong. I've had payments rejected before, but the account is current, has been for some time, and hadn't been altered for several months. During those months, the only active campaign was for one hotel property. The landing page has 2 adsense blocks, some affiliate links, unique editorial content, unique images and links to the other unique property pages.
It's not terribly important, it is a tiny % of traffic to the site. Adwords wasn't something I had found to be particularly profitable in my situation, and there are other alternatives. But is perplexing, and somewhat insulting.
Any ideas?

Yes, we saw the same thing yesterday and emailed google about it. We have yet to get a response back. Same boat, smaller account and always paid up.

Still have no response from google. That particular website was hacked that day and I am wondering if that had something to do with it.

I too have not heard back, but I wouldn't expect to over the weekend.

I did get a response this morning that they are going to forward it to their technical group to be looked at. It is an eccomerce site that uses google check out and google referalls from time to time for check out.

Just got a canned email from a real person.
They have escalated the issue to their technical team and will contact me once they have found a resolution?.
Why does it seem like they are answering a different email?

My account is fixed, I did get a response that there is a known technical bug. If you run into the same situation contact google and they will look into the account and get you running again.

This happened to one of my clients as well -- I didn't get any response via email but finally seem to be getting it sorted out in chat. Was pretty surprised to get the cancellation without any notification to me or my clients.

My account is live again. i never received any notice of what happened or even that it happened. Just logged in and the red box was gone.
