In our accounts, we are seeing a variation in sales behavior like, suddenly, one day the sales goes down and another day the sales were up. And there was no reason we can found like holidays, seasonal and others. Yesterday also the sales were down in our accounts even though we are spending enough. Why this happens? How can this typical behavior be predicted? Why this sudden variations happen?

Have anyone faced the same situation for your accounts also. Can anyone help in finding a solution for this problem.

welcome to the world of sales.

There will always be ups and downs, some days busy some days slow.

that's an excellent question. we have found, especially online, that there could be any number of causes. on our particularly slow days we can usually find something, usually seemingly trivial, that can affect sales. most common issue seems to be "slow servers", could be our servers, could be the payment processors servers, could be the customer's isp servers, could even be the search engine's servers. something slows down along the chain and so do the sales. funny thing is that it doesn’t even have to be a massive slow down, even the minor ones cause sales dips.

the upside is, over the long run the numbers are very predictable, for us anyway.

good luck and welcome to WebmasterWorld.
