"Free Site" Conversion Rates

What's the average conversion?

Hi,

Last week I setup the Conv. Rate feature in Adwords.

I run a free social network, and the landing page is the actual sign up form.

Just wishing to get feedback from those who offer a free-to-join site and what conversion rates they are getting off their Adwords traffic.

Currently I'm at around 30% conv.

Is that good or bad?

That seems quite high to me.

Are you targeting a high-volume of traffic? Personally, I would say conversion rates that high can only be achieved on niche or highly-targeted keywords.
