Site-Targeted Campaign

Where is my ad?

Hello,

Until now I had only keywords-targeted campaigns in the content network, and I would like to start testing targeting sites.

I have created a site-targeted campaign with 2 websites in it, set a default bid, but even after 2 days I can't see my ads on those 2 websites. I have refreshed the page a few times but I keep seeing the same ads and not mine..

What could be the problem? Maybe I am bidding too low? What is a reasonable CPM for the content network? I've just adjusted the CPM to $7 to see if that is the problem. Maybe I should try higher?

I do see some impressions in the stats, but very little (100-200 a day).

Thank you in advance for your help..!

Others might be bidding higher than you are. The site owner may have filtered you. Your daily budget might not be enough. There's a lot of possibilities.

well, my daily budget is very high and I can't believe that my site has been filtered because it is new and it was never showed on the content network before.. I guess it is low bids... I'll try to increase them..

emoshe, also be aware that site-targeted ads will always need to be reviewed & approved before they will run.

I do see that you have impressions, which suggests that the ads were reviewed/approved at some point. However, if you made any edits to the ads after they were reviewed, then they will once again require review and approval before running.

AWA (or anyone else that knows)

site-targeted ads will always need to be reviewed & approved before they will run

Does the review and approval process look at only the ad and its landing page, or does it also take the targeted site into consideration?

In other words, is any effort made to be sure the ads fit well on the site they are targeted to run on?

Thanks AWA, starting this morning I do so a lot of impressions - I guess, as you said, the ad had to be approved. I can't see my ad though when I visit the site I've targeted, however, maybe it is shown in some inside pages and not on the homepage.
