Hello,

Is there a way to access Google as if you were outside your home state?

I’m running several AdWords campaigns with different CPC, budget and scheduling depending upon geographic region (grouping of states). I’d like to monitor my ad positions REAL-TIME in Google as if I were actually in those regions. I know it can be done for different countries, i.e. google.co.uk, google.de, etc, but is this possible on a US regional basis?

Thanks in advance for the guidance.

Yes, you can use the ad preview function to see ads from a different US region.

The easiest way to access it is from the ad diagnostic tool. However, there are other ways to view it without going through your account.

Thank you eWhisper. After some bumbling around (my fault), I got it to work as advertised. One thing noteworthy, there was an additional line of text for my ad below the display URL indicating the US State I searched for. Will users in the applicable regions (states) actually see the region designation? That didn't appear for any of the ads of my competitors.

Clarification:

The region designation only appears when my ad is in the right column. It's not present when the ad is across the top.
