I need some help with ad scheduling and its affect on the daily/monthly budget. I have started to run ads only in the week and not at weekends.

I have read here about "The AdWords system will always try to spend your entire daily budget during each calendar day that your ad is active."

[adwords.google.co.uk...]

So say this month (May) I run ads for 23 days as they are switched off for 8 weekend days. Let's say that the daily budget is £10, would I pay around £230 or nearer £310?

Do I need to up the daily budget to around £13.48 to take into account the weekend days when the account is paused, in order to spend the target of £310?

I would say that I do, looking at the quote above and the stats for the second half of last month. Does anyone agree or disagree with this?

I now have a reply from Google, basically saying that if my ads are scheduled not to run on the weekends, then they will make up for any lost traffic by typically overdelivering my ads on Monday. Therefore I don't need to amend the budget to compensate for the ads being paused at the weekends.
