Hi. I'm new with AdSense I'm building price comparison website with just one products category. I will get flat price per click ($0.50) on shop link (4-5 shop per each landing page). I'm planning to spend $0.15-$0.25 per click in AdSense.

Will that work? What is conversation rate for price comparison sites in general?

Thanks.

I see that noone tried to advertise price comparison sites in Adwords. I don't want to create new topic, so I will ask similar question here.

Is it worth to advertise in Adwords if I get the money from clicks and not sales/subscriptions?

I would say this business model is not going to work. What percentage of your visitors actually click on one of your links? If you are only getting 0.50c per click, and you are paying 0.15 - 0.20 you will have to have an extremely high number of people clicking just to break even.

The reason you are probably not getting much response to this question is that it sounds very like a MFA site.

From what I understand, Google is okay with price comparison sites as long as they provide value and a good user experience.

But if you're "new with AdSense" (I think you mean AdWords), then you'll not have an easy time getting this model to work. It will probably take a lot of testing and patience to figure out how to get a low enough CPC (cost per click) and a high enough CTR (click-through rate) to make a profit.

Thanks for answers.

This site is not MFA. I'm ready to put my money and time in that site and create quality content that will be interesting for my visitors.

If not Adwords, then how can I promote Price Comparison site? As I understand you, I need to find relevant ads that cost $0.05-$0.10 cpc. I don't think I will have any $0.05 clicks from AdWords with such keywords as Plasma, LCD and Computers.

I heard other ad agencies have $0.05 cpc ads, but those ads are really irrellevant if you compare with AdWords. Is that truth?

Also, maybe someone knows what is convertion rate for price comparison sites or what's CTR on those sites?
