Very Slow

Hi,

I´m experimenting a very low connection with G. Adwords interface. It´s not due to my Internet connection, since all the rest of sites I work with are downloading normally.
Have you had this kind of problem lately?

I never find AdWords very quick (though better than MSN AdCenter!). You could try the AdWords editor to download your ads and keywords, work offline with them and then upload them again:

Whist there are times I find the AW editor extremely useful. If you have a very large account - you may find it painstakingly slow. Reason being - that even if you want to just download the latest changes - it has to scan the whole of your account - even stuff you deleted ages ago. For me, my current account is massive - let alone all the sites I no longer use adwords for, and all the various ad permutations I've tried and tested over the last three years. It can take me hours to download/upload. But as I said - there are times that even the long download/upload is worth it.

Anyone else have the same problem - or is it just me. The frustrating bit is, if you are nearly completing your download/upload, and then it locks. You've got to start all over.

Just a quick comment, from somewhere out in left field: it would be a good idea that check that you're using a relatively recent version of your browser - and if not, then consider updating. Also, have you tried a different browser?

I also have two different types of internet connection here - I can switch between cablemodem and DSL - and it's the same on both.

Well, I've talked with the tech folks, and the only examples they've heard of so far are the ones posted here, which I brought to them. I'm part way through skimming a good number of recent email from the same time period as this thread - and so far nothing. I'd add that when there is an issue affecting more than a few advertisers, it shows up rather quickly in our advertiser email (though WebmasterWorld has also proven to be an excellent early-warning system).

I'll keep my ear to the ground, though, as will the tech team.

In the past I have known there to be problems with particular ISPs that have resulted in similar issues for some advertisers (i.e. slow downs, seemingly on just Google servers), and wonder if this might be the case here. Worth a check with your ISPs?

All that said, if I learn anything else, I'll post again.
