Quality Score Recalculation - How Fast?

What is your experience?

I was just reading another thread about how sailorjwd paused a couple of ads and "two days later inactives turned active".

Has anyone else experienced the reactivation of poor keywords in a short period of time?

How often is Google recalculating the Quality Score in your opinion?

Pausing shouldn't affect the quality score of your keywords while the quality score update is a matter of few hours or less, I believe.

Things are changing. It used to take 2 months. Now maybe 2 days? which is good.

My experience is that if the 'Great' keywords donot get a decent / good CTR, then they change to O.K. and Poor very very quickly..2-3 days. I guess the reverse should also be true but I have not experienced it. :-(

I have one account where QS and minimum bids are bouncing between Great and OK (and the bids changing) several times a DAY. Still haven't gotten a decent answer from AdWords on whether or not this is supposed to be normal. If I take the Great words down to the minimum bid, they get marked OK and go inactive until I raise them up. Once I've done that, they go back to Great with a lower bid. This happens several times a day. Now I just leave it alone - so I never know when something's going to be active or inactive.

I have actually seen the quality score change on some kw's when I unpause a couple of different ones. When the page refreshes, some of the untouched kw's change.
