doesnt this limit your exposure?

What is the truth about Site Targeting. I've heard negative reviews, then again I've heard positive things. What have you guys experienced?

I currently run content ads but do not use site targeting.

1. How do I know what sites are part of the content network, to be able to site target at all?
2. Wont I then be ruling out a lot of sites that could lead to conversions?

I'm a little wet behind the ears with Site Targeting...

PS - what's the deal with CPM vs. CPC? I thought we were all on CPC?

Site targeting is done on a CPM basis. You need to go read the docs. Basically you pick categories and they toss up a bunch of sites that they think are appropriate, and you can cherry pick which ones you want to be one. The advantage is the possibility of better targeting. I haven't made it work well for any of my clients as yet. In a perfect world, I'd go check out all the sites before I put my client's ads on them, but who has time for that? I do have one client who did fairly well targeting some health sites, but then it started to slip, so I shut it down. YMMV.

Would you advise targeting for a ghost and supernatural site? Or would a keyword specific campaign be better?

My site is high in Google for the term the main keywords, but am contemplating using Adwords to generate even more traffic.
