Does having affiliate links directly from the landing page hurt your QS? Is it better to have links to merchant reviews which subsequently have affiliate links for QS?

Could you do both - a landing page with links to both merchant reviews and affiliates without hurting your QS?

Thanks

What's the best way to hide your links? Google can follow redirects, can't it?

Thanks

Use php or htaccess.

Hi,
I'm trying to use htaccess to hide affiliate links on my site. Essentially I want to redirect
www.mysite.com/buy/123
to
www.affiliatesite.com/my_id=12345&product_id=123&other_variable=2
...

Its all here: [webmasterworld.com...]

good luck

Hi I am relative newbie, more with affiliate marketing than adwords itself (I use adwords in my own business as well)
I have been running several adwords campaigns linked directly to specific products at Amazon. So my ad when clicked on takes the customer directly to the Amazon landing page advertising the product.

I understand what Google is "getting at" with its quality score.
However I can't understand why I can run a campaign in a competitive adwords market and get ranked at position 2 to 5 for say 30cpc and another campaign I'll be told to pay between $1.30cpc and $6.50cpc in a market that may have only 2 or 3 competitors.

I run all my ads similarly.
I use a short list of targeted keywords (broad, exact etc)on all terms
The ad typically just has the product name on the first line and the main keyword are also typically on the first line and in the body of each ad. I set up a long list of negative words as well.

With some campaigns Google ranks my keywords as a "poor" quality and wants me to bid as I said $1 to $6. What I don't get is how to increase the quality when I am being as specific to the term as is humanly possible! My ad is full of the keyword and directly links to the product, so How can I increase the quality to reduce the CPC?

Thanks Greg
