I have scoured this forum and still cannot find a direct answer for this question.

I sell a dowloadble cookbook. Now its for a niche cuisine. However about 4,000 searches according to Overture search tool so I know its a lot in Google. But Adwords is charging me about .10 per click.

How can I get this reduced as the book sells for just 9.99. How do I reduce this even though there are no competitors in the field.

I have identified other seraches related but does it mean that I really have to go after say 100 keywords, 100 different Ads and ensure that those phrases are locvated on my site.

Can some one really help me out here

You can consider yourself lucky paying only 0.10 per click. You can read in these threads a lot of advertisers that have to pay up to 10$/click, although there is no competition or very small.
Trying to answer your question, try different textads and landing pages for each keyword - at least for the most important ones. Perhaps in time you will find the best combination keyword(s) & ad & landing.

I would recommend going after as many keywords and ads that is reasonably possible. As long as they are stricly related to the product they will be targetted and should improve the overall campaign performance.

I just wish i could still get a 0.10 click. yesterday ours was over £9 a click.

It's maybe not you would like to do, but, could you add a few more ££ to the price of the book or do you think that could damage the conversion rate too much?
