The first place to start is Google's AdWords Learning Center [google.com]. There's a lot of great information there, straight from Google.

If you want to go a bit beyond that, I think Ultimate Guide to Google AdWords [amazon.com] is an excellent resource. You might be able to find it in your local bookstores (where you can flip through it to see the content before you buy it), or just order it online.

I think the best thing you can do is study for the GAP examen, its a good base, and there are useful tests you can take.

I've been going through websites and here in particular..but if you can lay your hands on "Winning results with Google Adwords" by Andrew Goodman...it could give you more insights on Online advertising and real life comparisms on adwords & Overture...

But you better off going to Adwords Learning Center first.

There is not an ebook, book or course available that will show exactly how to crack adwords. There's a ton of reasons for this, but the main one is they keep changing the rules anytime an engineer figures out a way to suck more money out of your pocket.

You have to put yourself in their shoes and try to figure out the angle they are looking at things from. Then do some testing, adjust and test some more. Eventually you'll have a "eureka" moment and it'll be smooth sailing. (Until they change the rules again in another 3 or 4 months...)
