Hello All!

My first venture into adwords and I have no idea if I am doing this right.

Overall I have 11% CTR and average CPC is 0.23. First is that good?

Secondly, I need someone to show me or I'll pay how to get my ad in the #1 or 2 slot. I am in a keyword that there is not alot of traffic but for my service it is perfect.

Can some one help by private message or send me an email?

Thanks

Anthony

Hi digitraf
Welcome to Webmasterworld - this is a good place to learn about the AdWords programme - read a few of the threads here and ask some specific questions and you'll start to get a feel for it.

One of the first things you need to learn is that every site is different. Bids, performance and expectations vary enormously from site to site, topic to topic and day to day.

For me, a CTR of 11% and a CPC of 0.23 ($?) would both be high. But your return on investment (ROI) may be much higher. If you can still earn a profit from visitors that cost you 0.23 each then that's what matters.

My experience is to start by bidding low until you gain experience. It is easy to overbid and loose money, but if you underbid, then you only lose opportunity.

You also need to make sure your have enough data for the statistics to be meaningful - at least 100's of clicks. If there is too little data, you will find that the statistics vary too much to tell you anything.
