1) True or False: (?)
If Avg.CPC is lower than Max.CPC and the Avg.Pos is really good enough for me, it means - There is absolutly no reason for increasing the Max.CPC?
2) CTR: What can ya do?
If Avg.Pos is good, is taking care of AdText the ONE & ONLY possible thing to do?
3) Technical: Text Ads
A - Does Google care about the keyword appearing in the AdText itself? (I know it cares about it being in the Title...)
B - Does it make sense to have different ad groups & different ads for two differnt ways to write a word, that acts as a keyword (such as: 'xbox' and 'x box')?
... In order to have an ad with 'xbox' and one with 'x box'.
Thanks.
May you all be clicked upon :)
1) True - if you are at the Position you want to show at, increasing your Maximum bid would only serve to move you further up the rankings. If your actual position does not change, then there should only be a change in what you actually pay if your close competitors change their bids. But keep an eye on things - this can change very significantly in a very short space of time.
2) I think there are 2 areas you can work on to improve CTR.
The first is, as you identify, the wording of the Ad itself. But remember that there tends to be an inverse relationship between Ad CTR and conversion rates: the higher the CTR your Ad attracts, the lower the proportion of visitors who will tend to go on to buy. You may be better off by using your ad text to filter out the non-paying visitors, but this will reduce your CTR.
The second area you can look at is the set of keywords your ads appears for. It may be that by adding, deleting or adjusting you can affect the CTR. Possibly some keywords are catching searches that do not relate to your ad. Alternatively, maybe you can catch some who are looking for related topics.
3) Not sure about these. My belief is that Google does not care about the keyword actually appearing in the Ad, but does care about it appearing in the target page. Viewers of the Ad will not know about the target page until they've clicked of course - they only see the Ad.
