On January 31st my inactive kw’s nose dived from an average of 225 down to 9-12. This lasted a week. Now in less than 24 hours they’re up to 350 inactives. Anybody else seeing jumps? Am I finally getting my "You Tube" bill?

the dates that you mention seem to correspond very closely with a phenomenon that is being discussed in another webmasterworld thread [webmasterworld.com].

I was aware of that thread but it wasn't exactly the same thing.

From what I am seeing my Adword areas are now experiencing a heavy influx of off-topic general purpose template sites spamming the keywords. They can afford to bid the prices up very high because they play the system well. Also seeing a lot of Yahoo sponsored sites. Google also seems to be cutting back on the number of sites carried under the keywords to force bidding up. Definite reductions in quality. In fact like with spam I'm seeing a lot of Adword sites titled aef.con, xtr.com, cgf.com etc. Looks like many are prepared to be banned and just shift to new domains.

Overall though I've been watching the stock price because the acquisitions and new DC's might hit those financial reports hard. In other words there only source of cash to pay those bills is...
