Adwords Editor Help!

Trouble Uploading Changes

I'm trying to upload a lot of keyword/ad changes to Adwords using the editor (mac version) on a iBookG4, but never seems to work. It keeps "checking changes" but never moves beyond that.

Anyone else have that problem?

Yes, I've sometimes seen the same issue in the Windows version too.

Unfortunately I've never found the cause or solution.

Have you just let it run overnight? If by a lot of keywords you mean in excess of 20-50k - I've seen it take a few hours to upload everything.

Also, don't make changes to the same campaigns that you are uploading in the interface that can cause an issue.

Check to make sure that you have the very latest version of the editor. It could also be an API issue.

I did let it run over night and seemed to work.

However, it said something like, "Can't post because surpasses Adwords account limits." So I deleted campaigns, keywords, etc. but I still got that same message.

From what I understand, the limits are 25 campaigns, 100 ad groups/campaign, 1 million keywords. I had over a million keywords but that included deleted campaigns, which it still includes in the total (despite deleted status).

Anyone else experience this? Is there a workaround? I spent a whole weekend drinking coffee, loading everything into Editor. I hate to have to do it manually!

Sounds like this might be a good one to run past AdWords support. ;) A look at the account would probably be helpful in troubleshooting what's up.
