My daily budget is £310 which Is what googles suggests I set it to.

New campaign only spent about £5.00

Today ads have been showing but have now stopped so I used the Diagnostic tool.

Ad not shown ¦ Reason: Your campaign has reached and exceeded its budget for this month.

This is FAR FAR FAR from the truth and i cannot work it out any help is much appreciated!

Try and raise your daily budget, and see what happens. These estimators are known for their lack of precision. Later, when things smooth up, you can decrease the budget.

In your first message you said your budget was set at 310. Now you say 300. What I meant was, raise up to 3.000 and see afterwards.
Also, if you have Content enabled, you could have some problems from there.

No I said "OVER 300" why would having content enabled cause problems?

you don't have to get angry with me.
if you want to understant what I am saying, ok. if not, again ok.
I just tried to give you an advice, I really don't know the parameters of your account.

Oh please dont feel i was getting angry just stressing a point.

I did disable content search and increased the daily budget 10x fold.

I also recieved an email from google that said that it has been escalated.

Lets see what happens thanks.

Ok, keep us posted with the evolution. It could be that some other advertisers have the same problem.

I think I may have a vague idea of what's going on.

You say the campaign is new, right? Well I think in this circumstance Google uses its Traffic Estimator tool to try and gauge how much you're going to spend, especially if it's on keywords that few people advertise on. It estimates you'll get loads and loads of traffic when in fact you won't, and thinks that if it lets you run the ads any more that day you'll hit the monthly budget. It can take a few days, maybe even up to two weeks for Google to get a grip and start using your own data.

Ok, maybe the way I've theorised it works isn't quite right, but the remedy - waiting - seems to work. It's a bug I've seen in a few new campaigns.

Yeah that sounds quite plausible - It is a new campaign but these keywords are qutie popular.

Over 100,000 searchs per month.
