So I have been pretty successful advertising thru Overture and MSN, but Google still remains a mystery to me and I was hoping someone can help clarify this.
After having started up an AdWords campaign about 6 months ago, I was still pretty new to ppc and probably did just about everything wrong that I possibly could have (i.e., lots of keywords, terrible CTR's, inactives, etc).
And now, every couple weeks or so I try and get back into Google and get my campaign back up and running, I find myself fatally handicapped -- the dreaded $10 minimum bids for just about every keyword in my campaign -- and unable to generate traffic to my sites from the biggest search engine in the universe.
Question 1: Given that I started up the campaigns months ago without a real clue as to how to execute them, is it ever going to be possible to get back in to Google using the same account (and by "get back in" I mean be subject to a reasonable minimum bid for my keywords)?
Question 2: If I were to start an AdWords account from scratch with a clean slate (different company name, contact info., etc.), what is the best way to ensure that I do not get slammed with the campaign-wide $10 minimum bid penalty, allowing me to actually generate some traffic from Google?
Your guys' input on this would be greatly appreciated, while I have a pretty good hold on Overture and MSN, my lack of success with Google still haunts me.
