Does anyone forsee any problems with my campaign when i pause my old 2006 campaign, and start my new 2007 campaign?

i have never started a new campaign since i just took over an older one.., so this is a new thing for me....

thanks everyone.

*oh, all of the administrative settings will remain the same.

Well, you will lose the history of your old campaign - all the ads and keywords - all gone.

i understand that....i can archive that info for later analysis, but i didnt know if anyone had issues concering..maybe ads not showing, or very poor performance after transition, ...anythign to that affect.

after all, im spending $2k per month on this dang thing, i dont want to mess it up now...

thanks

If you have a decent history of a high CTR it is going to cost you to rebuild that history.

I think you might be missing DoctorDoctor's point in terms of "history". It is not the information you are losing, it is the performance associated with it, that is the "adwords history". So, in terms of your question whether poor performance could be the result of starting new, the answer is yes, the ad's history does not follow it and it may perform poorly when it is evaluated as a new ad with no ad history.

hmmmmmmm interesting....i didnt know history had that much to do with performance.....i guess i could see it, but i would also think it could be stored somehow so that Google knows my past performance...i thought thats why they dont actually delete the information in your account...

ok...SO, next question...what if i completely REVAMP my current campaign to basically look like my new one...?

am i going to be better off doing that or starting fresh?

now im scared to start a new campaign, but i really want to at the same time to see what happens....**UGHHHH**....

They do store it. In the campaign so if you use the same campaign it is stored. The issue is switching campaigns.

right, i didnt mean storing it into my new campaign.

but i can see older campaigns and the statistics are still there...hence stored.

WOW...big decision here....i think im gonna say screw it....out with the old in with the new....

ill keep everyone informed.
