Click to Call ads by Google adWords

May cost upto 10 times more than regular ads..

I wonder how this new feature will pan out. I would rather have the normal PPC ads pulling traffic to my site. Maybe these ads will be useful for companies with little or no online presence. Interesting diversification by Google as they target the Brick & Mortar establishments.

I think the jury's out on Click to Call, and they may be out for some time. There was a beta trial here in the UK, but I think Google's quietly shelved it for the moment.

It seems to me that it's open for abuse as well. You don't have to enter your own number into the ad - Bart Simpson would have a field day.

Where are you seeing these ads? I've never actually seen a click to call ad 'in the wild'.

Well.. Google is promoting them through AdWords.

Thought I would try a few 'calls' for my e commerce site ..and then saw the potential cost was 10 times that of an ordinary ad.

Still Thinking ..
