Are Div Layer (Floating) "Pop-Ups" against Adwords TOS?

Are Div Layer (Floating) "Pop-Ups" against Adwords TOS? I am seeing a lot of my clients competitors in the automotive industry useing Floating DIV layer popups on their destination pages from Google and they never seem to get their ads pulled. Is this considered a popup and is it against TOS? Thanks

dont know..but more than one member of this board has them on their adsense site next to animated objects which are slap up against adsense ..with pop up saying "click something" ..at least on the one the animation has stopped walking along the adsense block trying to entice the unwary into playing "whackamole" ..

and heaven forbid clicking on an ad by "designed" error ..

the "chutzpah" of some of those who post holier than thou in the adsense fora is enough to take ones breath away when one visits their sites ..:)

I am talking about adwords and not adsense but they probably have similar rules. Id like to use a div layer with a coupon but I dont want to do it if its against TOS.

About their use on adwords landing pages you would have to ask G to be certain ..

Actually I had noticed that you were asking about adwords and not adsense ..but adsense was for now the only places I'd seen those being used as shall we say instructions on what to doi while one was on the site ;-)

But I'll wager that those who are doing this on their adsense sites haven't asked G ..the adsense TOS is pretty clear on not drawing attention to and not inciting clicks ..

maybe AWA would like to advise you here ..?
