Conversions vs Transactions

The definitions are too confusing.

I've read all the definitions and still can't put the pieces together. If conversions are visitors that went straight from the ad to the "thank you" how does G know? Is G using a timer?

Does the logic also follow then that the cost per conversion price, on the campaign manager, will change after a day has passed?

:utterly confused:

Thank you eWhisper that helps. I still don't know whether a conversion is recorded on the day of the sale or on the day the ad was clicked.

If an ad is clicked on Monday but the purchase didn't happen til Friday. Will the conversion show up in Monday or Friday's stats?

Thanks!

The last info I saw, the action is attributed to the day of the click - not the day of the action.

It's a good question.

AWA - has this changed in the last two years?
