Can anyone tell me if what i am doing is wrong, or on track.

I have one AdGroup called: Accounting

One of my KW's was set at a MAX CPC of $4.00 with a CTR of 0.32%
(17 clicks out of 5253 IMP.)

Average CPC $3.17 with an avearge position of 13.0

Today i bumped up my MAC CPC to 4.25 in hopes that i will get better visibility.

is .25 too little? too much?...i dont know....

thanks

tonynoriega, Hi. Just so you know we tend to refrain from using actual keywords here at WebmasterWorld (' if I was a competitor, I now know you are paying 4.25 and have a pants CTR very useful information!')

Ok, well the information you have given, even though in some cases it is a little over informed we need more in order to fully asses the ‘correctness’ behind your bid change.

There are so many factors that affect your accounts keyword performance, and in turn bid price. Some questions to ask yourself , Is you adtext relevant? what about lading pages, are the related to your terms? Your keywords, are they generic? Are you using all tools Google has mad available to you, such has negative keywords and matching options? Oh and ask yourself if the content network is right for you, in most cases the answer is no!

These are all things you should think about before throwing money at Google. While bid changes can help, if you run a badly formatted campaign/ adgroup then all the money in Larry’s Pocket wont help you!

So go through and make sure the answer to all these questions is YES and then think RELEVANT, RELEVANT, RELEVANT, (‘throw it all out the window and up your bids by £5 because QS for landing page is screwed’)…… only jokin, Yer to make sure you are applying these tactics & your account performance should increase.

Hope you found this useful!
