Human reviews

How long do they take - too long!

Checked adwords this morning and it looks like I've just had two out of my three active campaigns pulled - I can't see them anywhere on G.

Did make minor changes a few days ago to adgroups right across the board, so yes, a human review is to be expected.

How long does this take though, and why pull entire campaigns rather than an adgroup at a time? And, whilst we're at it, why no notification that ads are to be pulled, nor any indication as to when service will be resumed?

The two pulled campaigns are for one industry sector - very important to us as a business. At this moment in time however I have absolutely no adword presence at all! Damned annoying!

As we would say in disbelief in my local pub - "You're having a giraffe!"*

* Giraffe - cockney/mockney rhyming slang = laugh."

There is a much desired increase in communication level in regards to these types of scenarios. Google really needs to learn to send out emails to let advertisers know this type of stuff is going on, and what to expect. It would save Google time in answering support mails/calls and advertisers time in making those calls if they would let everyone know why the ads are pulled, lenght of time, and a reason.

Usually the turnaround time is less than 48 hours, although, often a phone call can trim that time down quite a bit. The real problem occurs when campaigns get 'lost in the system', and aren't shown again for several days because someone forgot to look at them, or click the magic button to turn the account back on.

I always suggest at least starting a support email to document when your noticed your campaigns stopped showing so if you have to make the phone calls and so forth, you can point to existing documentation that you tried to resolve these issues quickly.

Spot on eWhisper - communication, particularly in these situations is essential.

In just about any line of business if you were to pull the service or facility that you were offering without any notice (for whatever reason) nor explanation, you would feel that they fully justified in being a) annoyed, and b) frustrated.

Usually the turnaround time is less than 48 hours

Including weekends?

Should have said 48 business hours. So once it hits Friday, you're waiting until at least Monday for an answer. I've yet to see an email or phone call from G on the weekends.

I'm having the same problem. I'll never update my ads on a Friday afternoon again.

Believe it or not I updated the ads across Tues & Wed. Received an email from adwords the next day telling me that I'd set up one incorrectly, thus it was stopped until amended. Corrected the ad on Thurs - they were all functioning through the entire day; came in Fri am and the ads were pulled. This must have been done somewhere between 5pm Thurs and 8.30am Fri (BST).
