Problem is, the keywords entered for the query on blingo weren't active for search in my adwords account, and indeed, no clicks were recorded there under the search network statistics. There were plenty of content network clicks recorded, so it seems that this ad somehow showed up on this search engine via the content network mechanism.
Shouldn't this not happen? Blingo.com looks like a search engine to me, and the mechanism for showing ads there should be identical to the one for showing them on Google, in my opinion, even though the required bids could of course be different. It shouldn't fall under the content network...
For the curious, what I did was run a search query on myself on blingo.com, which as expected brings up my own personal homepage as the top organic query result. Also displayed are sponsored results which are based on the content on my own homepage. For example, there are hotel listings for my place of birth, which is listed on my homepage.
It appears that blingo is extracting data from my homepage on the fly and using that to trigger the display of adsense sponsored ads. You might call it a neat trick, but it results in ads intended for the content network showing up on search queries instead.
