Using a dash "-" between words

Brand Specific vs. Brand-Specific

Does anyone have any sort of historical data on testing a situation like this?

Using a dash in between words -- does this get a better CTR or make it worse? Just wondering if this has been tested in the past.

Google views both words as the same keyword, it would be like runnint widget in your account and Widget, google will divide the traffic, and stats between them. I think! there had been much debate on just how exact G's keywords are....

My question was really about putting that in your Ad Title or creative L1, L2.

Does putting a Dash help your CTR? Hurt it? It looks different, and so I'm assuming the CTR rate on them would not be exactly the same (some people like to read things differently).

If it's the keyword that you're putting the dash in, try both versions in ads and see if Google highlights both words, both times. I've found that the more highlighted words nets a higher CTR, not necessarily punctuation.

Nope, not talking about the actual keyword here. I would put that in the keyword forum.

I'm wondering if putting a DASH in your AD HEADLINE or L1, L2 improves your stats.

Unless I'm the only one to think of trying this, someone must have some data?

My guess: It makes no difference whatsoever.
