Hi, as you guys might guess, I am very new to Google adwords, but i would've never guessed how badly campaign is going.
I have created 5 ads and over 300 keywords.
Each keywords I started with max CPC of $0.10, but every key words were deactiviated, and google asked me to raise the bidding.. so I raised to $0.15... this went on day after day... and now all 300 keywords are on $1.30..! and 299 keywords are STILL deactivated..!
out of frustration, i have paused this campaign until i figure out what in world I am doing wrong.. could someone please help what I am doing wrong and why google's price to activiate the keywords keep on rising?

Thank you

Hi, Welcome to WW .

First of all it may take 3-5 working days for ads to show on Google Search /content network as ads go in for manual review before they are allowed to run.

If your bid prices keep on increasing then , Google may have assigned a low Quality Score to your website. This seems to be an automated process done by an algo and is determinant of Google's definition of 'Good User Experience' your site must generate for Google surfers.

A Low QS means G has decided your site is not up to Par and you may have to pay a very high price to show on the G Network.

Alternatively you may try to improve 'user experience' by studying and applying Google webmaster guidelines to your site.

If your Keywords are showing as inactive for search then this is not a case of waiting for reviews or worming to complete - it will remain this way!

Work on getting some good pages that cover the subject matter of your Ads, relate to the keywords and provide value to your visitors.

A word of warning - once a keyword for a domain has been hit by the "quality score" effect, it can take a long time to fix it - even if you completely rewrite the target page and add masses of good content. You may need to ask G to conduct a special review of the page.

Have you fully read understand the TOS? Do any of the pages on the site breach the TOS - adult content, gambling, etc etc. Are you sure that your display url and destination url are correct and working? Is your advert targeted to your landing page and to the keywords you are bidding on?

5 adverts, 300 keywords - sounds to me like you might want to write more adgroups, more targeted to specific keywords. Adwords state that they prefer an adgroup to have around about 20 keywords. This is not always viable, but maybe it is in your case. Lots of things to try.

Why not send Adwords an email asking for help.

Thank you all for your help..
I think I'll just have to start all overagain from the scratch...
I am planning to created multiple campaigns and put approx 20 keywords per ad, and concentrate on key targets per ad.

Does this seem like a good idea everyone?
Please share your expertise..
Thank you

I think what the guys are telling you is to improve your website before launching a new campaign, if you don't, well do you think its possible that the same will happen again

Well, Yes that's true, but since i have 5 different landing pages, i was hoping to direct each campaign ads to different adresses. If i do this, i can see which landing page is best working so forth, i can concentrate more and perhaps create more keywords.

this is just my thoughts, but as you all know, i'm new and still learning and experimenting with everything.

Thank you

You are only talking about creating adwords campaigns with just a mention of the landing page tacked on,,,

Ergo, your landing pages are probably solely advertising tools for another company's products and are probably interpreted by google in this way

The consequencies of that interpretation have been heavily discuss here on www

good luck
