Am I the only one for whom the keyword tool doesn't work?

For two years now whenever I use the keyword suggestion tool it never works. I must have started several thread already in that time asking for help as to what might be going on but I've never had a successful answer. Well, today has been a particularly bad day so I'm asking again - "Why doesn't the keyword tool work for me?"

Examples:

1. I'll type in a word such as "wedding". Results come back that there are no matches for "wedding" but it suggests alternatives such as "marriage" or "soup kitchen". "Soup kitchen"?

2. I'll type in "wedding" and it will actually come back with suggestions this time showing the average cost per click as £1.36 for the UK alone for top place. I then ask it to tell me what it would be for the whole world ... avg cost per click turns to £0.56 for top spot. It costs over a pound per click to be No.1 in the UK but half that to be No.1 for the whole world?

3. I'll type in "wedding", click the synonyms box and the results returned are "wedding" and "weddings" and that's it. I'll search again and it will say no matches. I'll search again and it will say no matches. I'll search again and it will return "wedding" and "weddings". I'll search again and a huge list of keywords/phrases with the word "wedding" in them finally appears.

Last time I posted I provided screen shots of the results I was seeing and there was a distinct lack of help from the Google Adwords employees that post on these boards (even less than what you get from their helpdesk!).

There are things with Google adwords that just do not work. Examples are the "budget" and estimates of clicks. I do not think they ever intend to fix them.

I assume the keyword you using the tool for is related to the page your Ad points to. Sometimes I see this if I've mistyped the URL.

I've also found that the target geographic area has a major impact - apage targeted at, say, USA, will typically generate a lot more keyword suggestions than if the same page were to be targeted at, say, the Falkland Islands.

Appart from this, I have found one or two topics where the tool offers little or nothing, but most times it works only too well. (I kept using up my keyword allocation)
