Text Ad Added.
AdGroup was created.
Text Ad Deleted.
I think what happened was I used Adwords editor that day to edit the format of the destination URL slightly for all the ads. But when you use the normal online editing facility to change some adtext, it shows up in the My Change History as:
Text Ad Edited: Show
which is a more accurate description, and allows me to see the textual change that was made.
Is this just what happens when you use Adwords editor? It deletes the ad and adds a new one, because it can't tell that it is an edited ad?
But if so, why does it say "adgroup created" when I didn't create an adgroup?
Mainly, I was wondering will this have affected my click history?
But also it is just annoying, it is filling up my change history and not letting me see the edits that were made.
I don't want to stop using Adwords editor - for such changes it is so convienent and quick when the online search and replace is not viable and you don't want to click on each adgroup in turn in order to edit each ad. But I don't want to trash my click history, if editing online doesn't.
cheers

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, drstuey! The short answer to your question is "No". In terms of history, editing your ads using AdWords Editor is no different than editing them online from within your account.
Beyond that, I'll contact the AdWords Editor and Change History teams - and let them know about the inconsistency in language that you've mentioned.
