Hi All,

I’m advertising in the UK. I have a .com website and a .co.uk website. At the moment the .co.uk website has got a permanent 301 redirect to the .com website. This is for SEO purposes.

However before I changed this, I found that my ads CTR were higher. People in the UK prefer clicking on a .co.uk than a .com. So I thought I could keep the display URL as .co.uk and set my destination URL to the .com website. Google suspended my ads with the reason - “Inaccurate Display URL”.

I’m in limbo now and not too sure what I should do. I don’t want to go back to two domains. I’ll get penalised for duplicate content. I also don’t want me ads to have a Display URL with the .com address. Is there another way I can do this?

Thanks
Donal

I had a similar problem, the only way I found that worked for me was to put "UK" in the adgroup text. ie Blue Widgets UK or some such thing. You could try a UK subdirectory whereby your display url could be smething like www.bluewidgets.com/uk - the users eyes will probably see what they are epecting to see ie .co.uk and not see .com.uk
